About The Artist

Growing up on the island of Bermuda, I was always fascinated by watching visiting artists working at their easels, capturing the beauty of the island. Our neighbor, Alan Birdsey (a famous local watercolorist) was one who especially inspired me with his simple, impressionistic paintings.

In my life, I have been very fortunate to have lived in many beautiful locations. Borrego Springs is now my home.. I paint mostly in San Diego County, with my focus being ocean, mountain, and desert landscapes. I like to paint in Plein Aire and specialize in small 4"x6" and 5"x7" watercolor images. After I paint a piece, I always finish them by including the matting that helps the final presentation.

The second portion of my business is painting favorite landscape images for my customers. After the customer provides me their landscape photo via text or email, I paint my impression of the image, and then mail the finished, matted work to them.
